Bluebell Meadows


I kept to the path, sheltered by the welcoming tree branches and their familiar heady scent that only rainfall brings. The grey storm clouds threatened to cover the earth with raindrops but far off in the distance I could see a faint sliver of white amongst overcast... just waiting for its turn in the skies.

As I entered the coppice, my breath caught in my throat, it was the most perfect moment, no camera or paint brush could ever reproduce the magic that was present on this day. A carpet of bluebells stretched before me, nodding their heads to the sway of the graceful breeze, a sea of amethyst, lavender and cerulean...
